Focus on the bright side of things

If there is anything the last few years have taught us, we need each other more than ever. The organizers of London Marathon Events did not let the coronavirus get them down and focused on the bright side: Encouraging people to keep moving.


London Marathon

The London Marathon is one of the highlights of the international sports calendar. With participants from all over the world, London turns into the global running Mecca for a week. Although many events surrounding the marathon in the English capital couldn’t take place because of coronavirus, we managed to find a way to reach sports enthusiasts worldwide. 


Keep moving

By organising a virtual marathon and online activities, London Marathon Events stimulated participants to keep moving. Together with Leoprinting, athletes, sponsors, and stakeholders within the UK were surprised with their own finish line made of seed paper to celebrate their own achievement. Runners outside the UK received a finish line made from responsible FSC paper.


Crossing the finish line in style

The digital participant field consisted of over 24,000 people from more than 100 countries. And because of the environmentally friendly and responsible gift, everyone crossed the finish line in a festive fashion.
